We've received nothing but a warm reception -and a fair amount of chuckling -- from small to mid-size craft and hobby retailers, in reference to our decision to use humor in the naming and subsequent marketing of our product. Of course, the fact that Sticky Ass Glue is such an amazing adhesive hasn't gone unnoticed either.
Pasadena, CA (PRWEB) January 15, 2008
The latest and greatest in polyurethane adhesives has finally arrived. 100% American Made, non-toxic, Sticky Ass Glue will make its first ever appearance at the Craft & Hobby Association Convention and Trade Show in Anaheim, CA February 10-13, 2008.
The unusual moniker given to Sticky Ass Glue is already resonating with crafters, hobbyists and Do-It-Yourselfers who appreciate the use of humor in branding and marketing. But, it's Sticky Ass Glue's stubbornly strong adhesive qualities which are earning the praises of more than three dozen California retailers currently stocking the product. A planned expansion into craft, hobby and hardware stores nationwide is set for early spring 2008.
According to Jan Minnich, Marketing Director for Sticky Ass Glue, "We've received nothing but a warm reception -and a fair amount of chuckling -- from small to mid-size craft and hobby retailers, in reference to our decision to use humor in the naming and subsequent marketing of our product. Of course, the fact that Sticky Ass Glue is such an amazing adhesive hasn't gone unnoticed either."
Incidentally, the name Sticky Ass Glue comes from the Pasadena, California based company's choice of a donkey as its trademark logo.
"Our goal, both in naming our product and the painstaking efforts taken in the development of Sticky Ass Glue, was to provide a product that evoked smiles from consumers, earned profits for retailers, and most importantly lived up to its promise of being the most stubbornly strong adhesive on the market," Minnich adds.
Sticky Ass Glue, which entered the marketplace in late 2007, is a 100% Waterproof, moisture cure adhesive, which has proven stronger than competing polyurethane adhesives in Shear Strength Tests performed on Formica, Fiberglass, Steel and ABS substrates. In Peel Tests as well, Sticky Ass Glue outperformed the current leading polyurethane glues, on Plywood and Aluminum substrates in addition to ABS, Formica, Fiberglass and Steel.
