Hotels to Go: TomTom and EarthBooker are Teaming Up
EarthBooker, the largest Hotel booking site for Google Earth, announced it is teaming up with TomTom, the world's largest navigation solutions provider, so users can search for and send hotels directly from the EarthBooker' website to TomTom devices. This results in a richer and more personalized navigation experience.

"The ability to search, find and send personalized information from large platforms like EarthBooker to a TomTom is something we have been investigating in for some time now. Last year we implemented this functionality already for ERA RealEstate to connect properties for sale to TomTom and now we are pleased to work together with EarthBooker.com on this personalization functionality," says Qyan Tabak from GlobeAssistant. GlobeAssistant implemented the connection between EarthBooker and TomTom.
How does it work?
The EarthBooker.com Internet websites have added the TomTom functionality. With just one mouse click TomTom users can instantly benefit from this service without needing to download complicated zip files.
EarthBooker allows TomTom users to search for their personal selection of hotels and transfer them from the EarthBooker website to their TomTom device by clicking on the 'Add to TomTom' button. The selected information is transferred to the TomTom device when the device is connected to the Internet via TomTom HOME, the free software application TomTom offers its customers. Drivers can then navigate to their new destination, as well as view the location on the map of the TomTom device or save it as a 'favorite' on the device for later use. Travelers can easily book a hotel while they are driving using the preprogrammed telephone numbers.
The Product Manager at EarthBooker, adds: "We are delighted to be working with TomTom to offer this exciting new service to our users. We are constantly working to make our system more useful so they become a one-stop-shop for finding all the hotel information that people need."
