Cherry Introduces Its Smallest Programmable Point of Sale Keyboard at NRF Show

Cherry Electrical Products introduced its new MPOS Series POS keyboard this week at the National Retail Federation's "Big Show" in New York City. Measuring in at just 11.8" wide, the MPOS is Cherry's smallest fully-programmable POS keyboard. It is available with or without an integrated magnetic stripe reader.

Measuring in at just 11.8" wide, the MPOS is Cherry's smallest fully-programmable POS keyboard. It is available with or without an integrated magnetic stripe reader.

The compact MPOS line expands upon Cherry's larger SPOS and LPOS Series to provide users with a variety of sizes to best suit their application needs. All three series are fully programmable and provide uncompromised alphanumeric data entry. They offer plug and play configuration for all common POS features and unique function enhancement via 'Cherry Tools' virtual programming. The 'Cherry Tools' software also allows for quick product set-up and program configuration, including remote installation. Cherry also offers comprehensive UPOS support for Windows® and Linux. As with all Cherry POS keyboards, the new MPOS product line is fully compatible with Microsoft's™ WEPOS operating system.

Cherry MPOS keyboards feature an 83-position key layout and are available with or without a 3-track magnetic strip reader. Non-MSR models are particularly popular in among touch screens users not requiring a second MSR. All MPOS keyboards offer free programmability of all key positions in three layers. The freely programmable headers and terminators and the flexible parsing of data make the MPOS keyboard suitable for nearly any application. The MPOS features a rubber mat / membrane keyswitch design that withstands up to 25 million key actuations while maintaining an IP 54 rating for spill and dust resistance. It is backed by a three year warranty.
