New Jersey trade bindery adds Wohlenberg City 6000 for features, flexibility.

Delaware Valley Bindery, a full service trade bindery based in West Trenton, NJ, has purchased a Wohlenberg City 6000 perfect binder from Colter & Peterson, North America's only distributor for the complete line of Wohlenberg perfect binders.

The Wohlenberg City 6000 binder purchased by Delaware Valley Bindery includes a host of automated features that reduce make-ready times, enhance production speed and maximize output capability. The company also chose to equip their Wohlenberg City 6000 with PUR glue, which is the strongest and most durable binding adhesive available. PUR is highly recommended for projects with heavy ink coverage or coatings bleeding into the spine.

According to Delaware Valley Bindery President Joe Rigby, the company selected the Wohlenberg City 6000 for its range of features and flexibility to handle the variety of products Delaware Valley Bindery typically produces.

"This was a very important acquisition for us and keeps us as state-of-the-art as anybody out there," said Rigby. "This is one of the most impressive pieces of equipment I've ever seen in almost fifty years in the industry."

Rigby noted that the Wohlenberg City 6000 is the most sophisticated binder available on the market and "It will increase our production, cut a lot of our makeready time and matches up well with the three-knife trimmer we bought from Colter & Peterson last year."
