SanMar Purchases Perfect Binder From Colter & Peterson
Company cites quick turnaround, added capabilities.
Paterson, NJ (PRWEB) January 18, 2008 -- SanMar, a leading supplier of wholesale apparel and accessories in Issaquah, WA, has purchased a Wohlenberg City 5000 perfect binder from Colter & Peterson, North America's only distributor for the complete line of Wohlenberg perfect binders.
The Wohlenberg City 5000 binder purchased by SanMar includes a host of automated features that reduce makeready times, enhance production speed and maximize the quality of every finished book.
According to Mark Suda, Production Supervisor for SanMar's Catalog Printing Department, the Wohlenberg City 5000 was an obvious choice for the company after looking at other perfect binders.
"I have over 30 years in the industry and after checking out what was available on the market, I felt that the Wohlenberg City 5000 was the finest buy for our money," said Suda. "We thought this perfect binder was built better and served our purposes. They also have the best warranty--two years on parts and labor--and no one else in the industry offers that."
SanMar added increased capabilities for its new perfect binder by purchasing a book block feeder and a collator which is further good news for their customers.
"We'll have a quicker turnaround and better products because we're updating older equipment," said Suda. "This will give us more capabilities with our collator because we can add inserts to our catalog for specific customers."
Suda noted that this wasn't the first time SanMar has dealt with Colter & Peterson. In fact, the Pacific Northwest silk screener has been relying on C&P for parts for their Wohlenberg trimmer for the last three years.
Anxious to have their Wohlenberg City 5000 installed, SanMar will welcome its new perfect binder during the first quarter of 2008 since it's supposed to ship in either February or March.
"It can't come too soon," said Suda. "We've been running an older machine. It will make my life easier."
