Accor Contest Lures Travelers Seeking Pure Relaxation In An Asian Paradise

France-based Accor's sizzling online fantasy vacation contest heats up as participants vie for exquisite holidays focused only on relaxation at three Asian luxury resorts.

Bangkok, Thailand (PRWEB) January 19, 2008 -- A theme-based online contest for holidays around the world has participants flocking to "The Accor Experience" website - http://www.theaccorexperience.com - the company has announced, with many seeking to win a stay at three Asian destinations renowned for relaxation.

The jewel in the crown of the "relaxation" package is a beach-side stay at one of Thailand's most breathtaking locations. The paid accommodation for winners, valued at US$3,400, includes a three-night break in the lagoon-access Honeymoon Suite at Sofitel Phokeethra Krabi Resort & Spa.

The shimmering blue water, white-sand beaches, and limestone outcrops rising out of the ocean are certain to subdue even the most stressed-out visitor. About 800 kilometers south of the Thai capital Bangkok, Krabi is probably best described as a younger version of Phuket.

Sofitel Phokeethra Krabi Resort & Spa General Manager Ove Sandstrom says a visit to the southern Thai paradise is sure to please. "Krabi is now, it's fresh, this is really Thailand like it was in Phuket 10 to 15 years ago," Sandstrom says.

Contestants who choose the "relaxation" vacation theme can also win a dream stay at the Novotel Benoa Bali located at the edge of Nusa Dua on Bali's southern peninsula, overlooking the golden sands of Tanjung Benoa Beach. The three nights' accommodation is valued at US$1,100

Also on offer is a visit to Thailand's untouched northeast with three nights at the Sofitel Raja Orchid Khon Kaen. The area's first international hotel is the perfect place to relax after exploring the pristine region, and is ideally positioned to explore the mysteries of the Khmer Empire.

Participants who register online for Accor's contest are asked to send e-mails to friends, family, and colleagues inviting them to join too. For each e-mail sent that results in a visit to the contest website, the sender receives one more chance to win.

The online competition highlights Accor's high-end brands, with a particular focus on the breadth of destinations, properties and experiences the France-based hotelier offers.

The "relaxation" prizes are among 19 dream getaways offered by Accor.

Part of "The Accor Experience" campaign, participants are asked to visit a contest website and choose an array of locations around the globe that best suits their holiday desires.
