Biocoat -- New HYDAK Hydrophilic Coatings brochure

Biocoat, Inc. announced the availability of technical literature on their HYDAK(R) hydrophilic coating systems for medical devices that are based on hyaluronan, nature's own lubricant.

The new full-color brochure describes in detail the consistent performance benefits engineers are able to obtain using the HYDAK two-coat coating system. Comparisons to older technologies, such as UV-cured and PVP coatings, are also referenced in the brochure plus product testimonials from medical device companies are included.

The brochure outlines the selection of base and top coat formulations. Plus, a ready-reference chart has been included that shows adhesion comparisons of Biocoat's solvent-based and aqueous-based coating formulations on a broad range of substrates. Biocoat's ISO certified manufacturing process is described and technical specifications on HYDAK coatings are also included.

HYDAK coatings have been adopted by many leading medical device companies in the U.S., Europe, and throughout the Far East. HYDAK coatings have been successfully applied to many medical devices including: vascular catheters (peripheral, neuro, cardiac), interventional guidewires, ophthalmic surgical devices, and other interventional vascular devices.
