Latitude Group, the award-winning Internet search engine marketing company, today announces the appointment of Joy Remuzzi as PR & Events Manager. Reporting to Matt Brocklehurst, Head of Marketing, this new senior role will be key in helping Latitude maintain a high profile in the public eye and showcasing its achievements for its existing clients.
Ms. Remuzzi was most recently Marketing Director at Steak Media, and prior to that business development and marketing manager at SEM consultancy Greenlight. She has over ten-plus years in international publicity and marketing, honed at both UK and US firms.
An American, Ms. Remuzzi came to the UK in 2002 to be the WorldCom Account Manager at its London-based web development agency. She had spent the three previous years on the client side, as Global Web Marketing Manager for UUNET/WorldCom. Prior to that she was a member of the Investor Relations team that took a pan-European telecoms start-up through a successful initial public offering (IPO) in 1999.
Commenting on her appointment, Joy said: "I am delighted to come on board at such an exciting time for the company. The recent client wins and the funding from Vitruvian herald a year of fast-paced growth for Latitude. I'm looking forward to working within an entrepreneurial environment which constantly raises the bar on the products and services it offers to its clients."

Additionally, Latitude has seen turnover rise from £500,000 in 2002 to more than £30m in 2006, and headcount has risen from eight in 2002 to more than 100 in 2007.
With offices in London and Cheshire and more than 100 employees, Latitude's unrivalled pay-per-click advertising and search engine optimisation expertise enable its clients to obtain and retain top search engine rankings.
For 2007 the agency has won Netimperative's 'Search Campaign of the Year' award, reached a top ten position in Deloitte's Technology Fast 50 league table, and was shortlisted for two of this year's National Business Awards. In 2006 the agency won the Media Momentum Award as Britain's fastest growing digital media company, and was shortlisted again in 2007. Also in 2006, Latitude's chief executive officer, Dylan Thwaites, was named by Ernst & Young as its Technology & Communications Entrepreneur of the Year.
