The Hotel Maison de Ville, in the French Quarter of New Orleans, is no stranger to mysterious hauntings. As a boutique hotel originally built in the early 1800s, in a city renowned for paranormal activity, there are sure to be ghostly visitors in and around our historic cottages and suites.

Because of our history with the spirits of New Orleans, the Maison de Ville is once again partnering with Christopher Moon of Haunted Times Magazine on February 22 and 23, 2008, to host special classes of Ghost Hunter University.

Ghost Hunting 101 for beginners presented on Friday will include an intro to the theory behind the trade as well as a lesson in the use of ghost hunting equipment. A more advanced Ghost Hunting 102 on Saturday will involve more comprehensive and technical lessons.

Each class includes a gourmet dinner at the Bistro at the Maison de Ville as well as a ghost hunt through the famed hotel's haunted spots. With your newly formed knowledge of the paranormal and expert ghost hunting techniques, you may even catch our ghoulish Civil War veteran, who occasionally enjoys scaring the hotel's staff.

Each class in Ghost Hunter University is only $125 per person, and the hotel is offering a group room rate of $99 for those attending. For reservations, call the hotel (504-561-5858) or visit the website at http://www.hotelmaisondeville.com - quickly, before the opportunity vanishes like the apparitions you'll be seeing.
