InventHelp®, America's leading inventor service company, announces that one of its clients, an inventor from Fort Myers, Fla., has designed an accessory that prevents someone from losing their hat. This invention is patented.

The "Hat Strap" could prevent a hat from blowing away from a user's head during various outdoor activities where wind may be a factor. The accessory's design could be worn unobtrusively and would be suitable for use with most hats, baseball caps, visors or sun hats. The Hat Strap could be modified to feature various sizes for jeeps, convertibles and motorcycles.

The Hat Strap would consist of a cotton strap, a stainless steel band and an alligator clip. The strap would measure approximately 21 inches long by ½-inch wide. The strap would be doubled to form a loop. The ends of the loop would be held within the stainless steel band. One end of the strap would extend from the band and attach to the alligator clip. A user would place the strap portion of the unit around their neck and secure the alligator clip to their hat. The hat is to be worn conventionally. In the event the wind blows a user's hat off, the clip would hold the hat in place while the strap would prevent the hat from blowing away.

InventHelp® is attempting to submit the invention to companies for review. If substantial interest is expressed, the company will attempt to negotiate for a sale or royalties for the inventor.
