Toy industry veteran John Sauerland, today announced the formation of Global Toy Marketing, Inc, a specialty distribution company focusing on play and educational toys. Sauerland has tapped fellow veterans Rick Tomasco and Ann Richner.
"Our primary focus is combining our global reach with our expertise in North American retail," said John Sauerland, CEO of Global Toy Marketing. "GTM's candidate products are high quality, focus on green use and must be from replenishable sources. We will be offering over 2000 products over the next several years."
The management team of Global Toy Marketing brings over 100 years of toy experience with Mr. Tomasco serving as Executive Vice President of Sales and Ms. Richner serving as Vice President of Operations.
John Sauerland's career over the past 35 years has given him extensive retail and wholesale operation experience. Mr. Sauerland served as CFO of Wellpet which is now known as Petco. He was Senior Vice President of Administration at Natural Wonders and held the position of Vice President of Administration for Onsale, an internet ecommerce company.
Prior to joining Global Toy Marketing Rick Tomasco served as President and CEO of Applepie Toys and was involved in developing product, distribution strategy, manufacturing management, sales and marketing. As Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Pamela Drake Inc., Mr. Tomasco played a key role in conceptualizing product lines, forecasting sales and coordinating a national and international sales team.
Ann Richner brings to Global Toy Marketing over 25 year experience in finance and accounting operations. In working with various companies, she has been innovative while control and systems oriented. Ms. Richner has been controller and IT Director for a Toro Distributor, assistant controller for Perclose, a subsidiary of Abbot Labs and controller for PNS a telecommunications construction company.
The company will be at the New York Toy Fair, Booth # 1843 in Javits.
