If business travelers are anything, they are rushed. So we invited the best of the best business travel bloggers to create this network, making it easier for readers to quickly find quality content.
Colorado Springs, Colo (PRWEB) January 29, 2008
Business travelers can now easily keep up with several of the world's leading business travel bloggers all from one site - BoardingArea.com.
BoardingArea.com, which formally launches today, is part of the Frequent Flyer Network of sites, and is owned and managed by frequent flyer guru, Randy Petersen. In addition to BoardingArea, the web network hosts many of the leading sites in the business travel arena, including FlyerTalk.com, WebFlyer.com and InsideFlyer.com.
At its launch, BoardingArea features several of the most well-known and well-respected business travel blogs and bloggers on the Web, including:
View From The Wing, by Gary Leff
The Cranky Flier, by Brett Snyder
Upgrade: Travel Better, by Mark Ashley
Joe Sharkey At Large, by Joe Sharkey
Online Travel Review, by Jared Blank
PointsWizard, by Rich Keller
Travel Commons, by Mark Peacock
TravelTechTalk by Scott Carmichael
The Gate, by Brian Cohen and Rob "KiwiFlyer"
"We noticed there were some terrific bloggers out there doing some fantastic writing, but sorting through the clutter to find the really good ones was a chore," Petersen said. "If business travelers are anything, they are rushed. So we invited the best of the best business travel bloggers to create this network, making it easier for readers to quickly find quality content."
Up-to-the-minute content from the network's featured bloggers is highlighted on the BoardingArea home page. The site also contains descriptions and links to a host of leading business travel blogs that are not included in the BoardingArea network. These blogs are listed by category - Blogs by Business Travelers, Blogs by The Media, and Blogs by Industry Insiders.
"By aggregating content from a variety of blogs, readers will be able to find their favorite blogs and discover new ones all in one place," Brett Snyder, aka Cranky Flier, said. "This is going to be a great way for business travelers to find new ways to make their lives easier."
In addition to featuring many of today's top business travel bloggers, BoardingArea also plans to serve as a launching pad for the next generation by providing free blog hosting to anyone who would like to write their own blog related to business travel. Bloggers who take advantage of this service will be featured in a section of the site titled "Prior To Boarding" and eventually could be featured on the home page.
"We'll all gain by exposing our readerships to the broader universe of business travel blogs," says View From the Wing's Gary Leff. "And we'll build a community of business travelers in the process."
