Trident Systems' Collaboration Gateway (CG) product is being fielded by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) at three locations as part of the Cross Domain Collaborative Information Environment (CDCIE).

Trident Systems (http://www.tridsys.com) reported today that its Collaboration Gateway (CG) product is being fielded by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) at three locations as part of the Cross Domain Collaborative Information Environment (CDCIE), which was developed at the US Joint Forces Command (JFCOM). CG, along with BAE Systems' Data Sync Guard (DSG), is a core component of CDCIE and enables secure, cross-domain instant messaging between differently-classified domains. CDCIE was certified by NSA at the Secret and Below Information (SABI) level and is included on the Unified Cross-Domain Management Office (UCDMO) Baseline list of available cross-domain solutions.

"We're proud that Collaboration Gateway has been selected for use on the Defense Department's networks," noted Nick Karangelen, Trident Systems' founder and CEO. "As part of the CDCIE solution, Collaboration Gateway solves a real collaboration problem in this era of Coalition operations -- the need to work together across both distance and security boundaries." Single-domain text chat has proven itself throughout operations in both Afghanistan and Iraq. Now, (http://www.tridsys.com) CG extends chat capabilities and protects information exchange on differently-classified networks.

"With Collaboration Gateway, intelligence analysts, operations planners, logistics folks - all can now collaborate without re-organizing networks or other work-arounds," reported Collaboration Gateway Product Manager Scott Thomas. "Plus, our open approach to CG's development means that we support a broad range of chat clients, so users don't have to relearn their collaboration environment."

Collaboration Gateway is available immediately from Trident Systems Incorporated. Trident Systems is a private veteran-owned small business that has been providing hardware and software systems to military and commercial clients since 1985.
