(PRWEB) January 31, 2008 -- AMS is pleased to announce that it has signed on as a corporate sponsor of Medical Devices 2008, a Frost & Sullivan Executive MindXchange, which will be held on March 9-11, 2008, at the Hyatt at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco.
At the event, AMS will host a break-out session, "Ethnographic Considerations in Medical Device Research," on Monday, March 10th from 1:45-3:15 p.m. This interactive session will be moderated by AMS Executive Vice President Gerry Katz and AMS Principal John Mitchell. The session will address such hot-button issues as:
- The strengths and weaknesses of using ethnography to gather customer needs
- Examples of successful ethnographic applications
- Complications that could arise in gaining access, recroding interviews, and negotiating privacy/HIPPA issues; and
- Alternatives to ethnography you should also consider
AMS will also participate in a "Solutions Wheel," where conference attendees and solutions providers meet with one another in rapid succession in a "speed dating" type of format. In addition, AMS will host an exhibit booth throughout the conference.
