QuantumClean Expands Molecular Beam Epitaxy Services
Leading semiconductor outsourced parts cleaning provider extends molecular beam epitaxy cleaning capabilities to its Maine facility
Dublin, PA (PRWEB) January 30, 2008 -- QuantumClean®, the leading provider of outsourced parts cleaning, process tool part restoration and surface treatment to the semiconductor industry, today announced that the firm has expanded its molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) cleaning capabilities to its Advanced Technology Cleaning Center® (ATCC®) in Scarborough, Maine (a suburb of Portland).
QuantumClean designed the dedicated treatment facility at the Maine ATCC® in order to handle large MBE chambers and related components after seeing demand increase dramatically for this service in the Eastern region of the U.S. The company finished the segregated MBE decontamination area in December 2007.

The firm's Colorado ATCC® supported all MBE cleaning in the past, but that facility will now focus solely on cleaning traditional semiconductor process tool parts and smaller MBE components, while larger-scale MBE projects will be processed at the Maine location. The expansion of QuantumClean's MBE capabilities to its Maine ATCC® is a natural progression in the firm's ongoing efforts to invest in the support of emerging markets such as MBE, solar, nano, and other microelectronics segments.
