A Golden Opportunity on Portugal's Silver Coast

A new property development in Portugal is set to get 2008 off to a flying start for buyers. The properties are being offered exclusively by HomeInternational of Dublin, a long established specialist company in the overseas property market.

Dublin, Ireland (PRWEB) February 1, 2008 -- The Silver Coast in Portugal is now the source of some golden investment opportunities.

HomeInternational are pleased to announce the launch of the Figueira Mar development in Figueira da Foz -- Portugal's largest beach on its spectacular Silver Coast. This coastline lies just north of Lisbon and, since 2007, the investment spotlight has been firmly fixed on this up and coming area. The combination of low prices, sustainable development, unspoilt landscape, temperate climate and a fast developing holiday market is a potent mix.

The properties being offered by HomeInternational are set right on the coast -- some have sea views. Figueira Mar is the creation of one of Spain's most prestigious and largest property development companies, Martinsa-Fadesa. The luxury development will include a 110 room hotel, 18 hole links gold course, beach club, watersports facilities, spa centre and gym, full kids club, football pitch and communal pool, as well as bars, restaurants and shops. Property owners can enjoy all these facilities at their leisure.

Renting out a property here is straightforward. You can take advantage of a full rental management service courtesy of Spain's largest property management company, Conforta. And with the area's strong rental market, assuming 80 percent occupancy in July and August and 50 percent the rest of the year, you can achieve annual yields of around 5.5 percent - 6.00 percent.

There are plenty of direct flights from the UK and Ireland to nearby Lisbon and Porto airports. Surprisingly, the Silver Coast of Portugal is closer to Madrid than any of the Spanish coasts and the new high speed train line being developed form Madrid to Lisbon this will further boost tourism in the area. In fact, the Portuguese and Spanish have been holidaying on the Silver Coast for years. This native tourist trade is a key to the success of the area -- the infrastructure has been gradually and sensitively developed in line with its growth. The perfect sandy beach at Figueira da Fos made the town a world class resort from the late 19th century. You can see many fine, historic houses in and around the town, some of which are open to the public. The Casino dates from 1886 and has its own nightclub and regular shows. One hundred years later, in 1996, Figueira da Fos hosted the World Surfing Championships.

So, this is an area with a fine history, a thriving present and a promising future. The Figueira Mar development sits perfectly with the exclusive location, offering high quality properties at prices that, by April, cannot be matched. If you are thinking of buying a property in Portugal, this is truly a golden time to invest.
