We in no way wish to deter the future of our business, but we do need to keep up with the actual face of our industry. For big business to view London as an important date in the world's beauty calendar, where big deals are done, those wanting to be part of it need to step up to the mark too, including our students
London, UK (PRWEB) February 1, 2008
March 2nd, 3rd and 4th 2008 sees Professional Beauty 2008, the largest UK Event for the professional beauty, spa, aesthetic medicine, nails and fitness industries roll into London's ExCeL centre. A world class venue for a world class show, this three day event encompassing all the latest product and treatment launches from over 450 exhibitors, a myriad of lecture programmes and conferences including the London International Spa Convention and world-class competitions in nails and make-up, Professional Beauty ExCeL is the only place to be for those involved in the world of beauty.
"It's time for the UK's leading Show to challenge the US and Europe as the place to do global beauty business. Professional Beauty is ideally positioned to forge ahead and become the World's leading event for those involved in the multi-billion pound beauty business and all its associated industries such as aesthetics, spa and fitness," explains Catherine Iredale, Professional Beauty's Show Director.
2008 is a special year for the UK's biggest professional beauty event, with Professional Beauty celebrating its 20th year. Now part of emap, the Professional Beauty brand is able to harness the power of the UK's number one trade exhibition organiser and is now, more than ever, taking on the European Beauty Shows the like of Cosmoprof in Bologna. A major aim of the Show in 2008 is to attract significant international visitors as well as more senior buyers from the UK than ever before and to do this Professional Beauty is to enhance their visitor experience.
With this goal firmly in their sights the team behind the re-vamped Professional Beauty are changing the emphasis. This year there will be major new features to benefit the serious buyer as well as dedicated PR and advertising campaign across Europe and beyond to reach beauty professionals and buyers worldwide.
The first and most visible change that returning visitors and exhibitors will notice is the rules regarding student entry. More controlled and monitored, all attending students will be NVQ Level Two and above and must be in uniform and accompanied by lecturers. "We in no way wish to deter the future of our business, but we do need to keep up with the actual face of our industry. For big business to view London as an important date in the world's beauty calendar, where big deals are done, those wanting to be part of it need to step up to the mark too, including our students," Catherine explains.
From 2008, Professional Beauty visitors will see custom-designed visitor relaxation areas, improved crowd management measures and new, faster access to the exhibition halls, all designed to reduce the feeling of overcrowding, blocking access to both stands and catering areas throughout the Show.
For serious business to be done, Professional Beauty will offer pre-show appointment making and personalised visit planners at professionalbeauty.co.uk. Once at the show, visitors will benefit hugely from new improved show wayfinding systems to aid visitors in locating their way to the exhibitors and features they want to see.
In recognition of the 20th anniversary of the Show and the 25th birthday of the associated magazine, the directors of Professional Beauty will be hosting a series of events over the three days. In addition to the annual Awards, which this year are being handled and staged by the new Awards Team, there will be a birthday party with a guest list spanning the last two decades of Professional Beauty together with the business leaders of the future.
