Denver, CO (Vocus) February 1, 2008
Pet owners can now download video news stories on a wide variety of animal health topics through the new “GO Pets” channel at podcastGO.com. The 2-minute videos are produced exclusively by the Veterinary News Network (VNN), a national network of local veterinarians who provide expert veterinary medical information on a regular basis to the public.
“Launching the ‘GO Pets’ channel through podcastGO is a logical step for VNN since it enables us to provide our animal health news stories direct to consumers,” says Dr. Jim Humphries, VNN President and News Director. “We appreciate the opportunity made available through podcastGO for pet owners to take our stories with them anytime, anywhere.”
Since 2005, VNN-produced news stories have reached millions of households through traditional broadcast media and the Internet. VNN has already produced 60 animal health stories about current pet health issues and advances in veterinary care, adding two new stories each month. The first group of VNN videos launched on podcastGO.com earlier this month.
“We are thrilled to have the Veterinary News Network on our network,” says Andrea Mitchell, Founder and Chief Mobile Officer of podcastGO Inc. “This partnership allows our viewers to watch online and take their information from VNN with them on any video mobile device. podcastGO is only partnering with domain experts and VNN’s expertise makes perfect sense with our online and mobile platform.”
About Veterinary News Network
The Veterinary News Network (VNN) is a national network of more than 360 veterinarians and affiliate reporters who use VNN-produced resources to broadcast and publish local news stories about current pet health issues and advances in veterinary care. VNN also has a syndication division that includes morning drive radio stations, captive audience networks, podcasts, Internet video channels, blogs and syndicated medical television.
