Financial Services Leaders to Share BPM Best Practices and Lessons Learned

Lombardi®, a leader in business process management (BPM) software, today announced that three of its customers will be speaking at Gartner's upcoming Business Process Management Summit. Lombardi is a sponsor of the four day event, which will be held on February 4 - 7, 2008 at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. The theme of this event is "Creating and Sustaining the Agile Process-Powered Organization."

Gartner's BPM Summit is designed to offer strategies and tactics to help companies align business strategy with IT to maximize operational agility, as well as provided new opportunities to expand revenues and productivity.

Lombardi customers Wells Fargo Financial and PHH Arval have been selected by Gartner to share their BPM experiences on two different case study panel sessions during the conference.

The first case study panel session will feature Steven S. Smith, chief technology office at Wells Fargo Financial, one of the nation's largest lending institutions. The session, entitled "Avoiding BPM Pitfalls - Tales from the Trenches," will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2008, in the Augustus Ballroom III at 2:15 - 3:15 p.m. local time. During the session, Smith and other panelists will share real-world insight on the common risks and possible pitfalls with business process improvement efforts and how to avoid them.

The second panel session features Mark Tognetti, from PHH Arval, a commercial fleet management company. Tognetti is PHH Arval's vice president of IT strategy and enterprise architecture. His case study panel, entitled "Getting Enterprise Buy-In: Building Alignment and Momentum," will be held on Thursday, February 7, in the Augustus Ballroom V at 1:15 - 2:15 p.m. During the session, Tognetti and other panelists will discuss insights and tips for how to secure enterprise buy-in for BPM projects and energize the organization to build consensus.

Additionally, Tim Rolfing, IT Capability Director, at Allianz of America, will present his company's BPM experiences in a Lombardi hosted case study session during the conference. During the session, entitled "Why and How Allianz of America Uses BPM," Mr. Rolfing will review how Allianz progressed through key BPM milestones over the past three years, how they connect major corporate initiatives to their projects, achieve successful deployments and lay out roadmaps for ongoing improvement. The case study session is being held on Tuesday, February 5, in the Augustus Ballroom I at 11:50 - 12:15 p.m.

Immediately prior to Mr. Rolfing's case study session, Toby Cappello, Lombardi's vice president of professional services will present "The 3 Key Milestones of BPM Success." During the session, Mr. Cappello will share important guidance for ensuring long-term BPM success with proven project development and deployment capabilities. Customer deployments will be profiled during this informative solution provider session. The session is being held on Tuesday, February 5, in the Augustus Ballroom I from 11:15 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.
