PickPackGo Showcases Spring Break Vacation Rental Homes

National survey results show beach vacations top the list for U.S. travelers.

This year, Spring Break comes earlier than it has in the last couple of years. With just six weeks until many schools take a March break, there's still time to book affordable lodging in many popular Spring Break destinations. Travelers seeking to avoid overpriced and cramped hotel rooms should visit PickPackGo (http://www.pickpackgo.com), an award-winning website for travelers to easily find, compare and rent vacation homes. The site lets visitors visually search vacation rentals offered by professional property managers in the most popular travel destinations.

"Walt Disney World® is extremely popular for Spring Breakers, but it can be expensive to stay on property. For those who haven't confirmed reservations, vacation rental homes are more affordable and more comfortable accommodations, particularly for families with kids," said Lloyd Braithwaite, sales and marketing manager of Fairways Property Management. "At PickPackGo.com, travelers can view the vacation homes we offer, based on availability, amenities, location in relation to attractions, and then book directly online, which can save a lot of time."

For Spring Break travelers still considering their options, PickPackGo showcases vacation rental homes all over the U.S. and abroad. In Florida, vacation rentals are still available in the Orlando Walt Disney World area out to the Gulf Coast and the southern beaches. For those looking farther West, the sunshine in Phoenix, Palm Springs and South Padre Island, Texas are also popular Spring Break options. The site also features vacation homes, condos and villas near the most popular ski resorts in Lake Tahoe, California, as well as Vail, Breckenridge, Telluride and Beaver Creek, Colorado.

A recent PickPackGo travel survey of 785 U.S. respondents found:

  •     Across the U.S., the average traveler surveyed takes at least one vacation per year.
  •     In total, all of those surveyed estimated they take a combined 1,363 vacations per year, or an average of nearly two vacations annually.
  •     The fewest number of vacations were taken by those living in the Midwest.
  •     Those from the Northeast travel the most, slightly ahead of those living in the West.
  •     Beachfront vacations are considered the "favorite" vacation regardless of where people called home, with family vacations coming in a close second.

"Most travelers take just one or two vacations a year, so it's more important than ever that the lodging fits their lifestyles," said Felix Lin, CEO of PickPackGo. "Travelers who choose to stay in a vacation rental home and live in a community rather than a hotel room overwhelmingly report a more memorable vacation experience."
