Fort Myers, FL (PRWEB) February 6, 2008 -- Herocare is proud to announce they have recently launched 23 new markets across the country. Headquartered in Fort Myers, Herocare is one of the country's only non-profit organizations designed specifically to benefit public servants.
Herocare, founded by Lane Houk, the CEO and Executive Director, opened its doors just eight months ago and now offers services in ten states and thirty-one US counties. (A complete service area list is provided below.)
"Our mission is to remove barriers and open doors for those that do so much for their community," explains Houk. "With the new service areas, we're excited to be extending our reach and ready to begin assisting heroes across the country."
Eligible participants include veterans or active military personnel, school system employees (including private schools and colleges), nurses and all medical system employees, first responders such as police officers, firefighters and paramedics, and all government workers (city, county, state and federal), plus retirees from these sectors. Ideally, this includes the entire public servant populous that provide critical operations in an area. Eligible participants contact Herocare's complimentary concierge service which helps to answer questions, ease concerns and connects them with area businesses, called affiliates. The concierge service also follows up to make sure the need was met and ensures a great experience.
Businesses in any given market can apply to become an affiliate of Herocare and offer a discounted rate or special service or gift to heroes. Affiliates go through a detailed screening process prior to being approved. Additionally, business leaders can become area Program Directors by applying for the volunteer position and completing a six month coaching course.
Currently offering financial, credit and real estate related services, the organization plans to expand its offerings exponentially over the next year, adding fifty new affiliates a month. Additionally, they will be rolling out a new discount program (the Herocare Rewards Program) in the next few months offering even more financial savings to heroes everywhere. The organization is searching for companies that would like to sponsor the new rewards program, regionally or nationally.
