Houston, Texas (PRWEB) February 6, 2008
The Krewe of Cajuns and Cowboys will be holding a charity event at the Armadillo Palace on March 08, 2008 benefiting local hospitals and scholarship funds. This third annual charity event will be sponsored by ApartmentWIZ, a Houston-based apartment locating agency serving Texas cities and Atlanta, Georgia.
Formed by Louisiana and Texas natives, the Krewe of Cajuns and Cowboys was originally founded to help Katrina evacuees and assist in the re-building of New Orleans. Now the 50-member Krewe serves the local Houston community by holding world-class social events benefiting local charities. Last year's Crawfish Boil had 800 guests and this year there is over 2000 expected to attend!
With free crawfish, jambalaya, and beer for the private event guests, the Armadillo Palace on Kirby and Barlett will be hoppin' on March 8th starting at 1pm. The entrance to the Armadillo Palace features a 20-foot metallic armadillo greeting visitors, and inside there is a state of the art sound system, shuffleboard and pool tables. Featured live music for the day will include the band King, who masterfully blends the sounds of country and alternative rock. King has been busy songwriting and breaking out of the regional music scene and yet still manages to play many special benefits.
The Crawfish Boil sponsor ApartmentWIZ will have a photographer on hand to capture the lively event and prints will be available for sale on their website (ApartmentWIZ.com) afterwards to benefit local area hospitals and scholarship awards. The Krewe of Cajuns and Cowboys will also be selling $10 t-shirts to help raise money for their charities.
Philip Silberman, Krewe member and ApartmentWIZ founder/CEO has this to say about the March 8th event, "The annual Crawfish Boil is quickly becoming one of Houston's premier events. ApartmentWIZ is proud to be part of the festivities and an organization that gives something back to the community." What better way to benefit the Houston community than with an event dedicated to Cajun cuisine and music!
