New Web 2.0-based tool makes collaborative access to vital collective intelligence from disparate enterprise data sources as easy as using the Web.

Exadel™, a leading provider of Web 2.0-based Enterprise Information Access solutions and professional services, today announced the general release of Exadel dVision™, a new Web-based tool that enables direct, real-time access to enterprise data stored across multiple data sources. A Web 2.0 Rich Internet Application (RIA) based on JBoss RichFaces, dVision combines real-time analytics with next-generation business intelligence solutions to improve business agility and enable decision-making and collaboration based on current, not historical, business data.

The first release in Exadel's new Vision suite of Web-based enterprise information access applications that leverage business intelligence, dVision runs in any modern web browser. Its powerful and intuitive user interface requires no special training or steep learning curve to master its unerring navigation and display of multiple enterprise data sources. With Zero client installation, no special software is needed on the end-user's computer. It uses no intricate query language and requires no prior knowledge of data structures, database architecture or complex technical terminology. Everyday business users are comfortable with it instantly.

"Our use of interactive AJAX and other RIA technologies allows us to turn complex report building into a simple, intuitive process that any business user can master immediately," said Fima Katz, CEO of Exadel. "As a result, dVision provides key LOB leaders with immediate, continuous, seamless data access so they get fast answers to their questions. Their responses to real-world business situations can now be agile and confident, because they are based on immediate, real-world data."

The included EasyQ™ query feature allows any user - without technical training - to create live spreadsheets based on continually updated data stored in separate enterprise systems. Its real-time data can then be shared in collaboration with colleagues. Unlike traditional spreadsheets, which save a static "snapshot" of data at the time it was accessed, dVision always shows the most up-to-date data available in the enterprise.

dVision provides complete data control including a full security model, allowing IT administrators to manage who has access to what data. Within those limits, any authorized user - not a database administrator (DBA) or developer - can define what data is displayed. dVision allows multi-dimensional views of data so users can navigate through different dimensions of data as desired, easily and in real-time.
