Medical Billers to Celebrate Official Day of Recognition on March 27, 2008
Medical Billers from several states have obtained proclamations from the Governors of Illinois, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas and Washington that officially recognize the skill and professionalism required of Medical Billers.
Sulphur, OK (PRWEB) February 18, 2008 -- Several members of the American Medical Billing Association (AMBA) have requested and obtained official proclamations from their state's Governor that officially recognize Medical Billers Day on March 27, 2008. This will be the first Medical Biller's Day of recognition.
Brice Duffie, Vice President of Reimbursement for Medical Services, President of the Central Ohio Local Chapter of AMBA and National Advisory Board Member, obtained a proclamation from Ohio's Governor Strickland. Duffie, requested the proclamation because he felt that the high standards billers ascribe to achieve should be brought to the attention of officials and be officially recognized.
AMBA Local Chapter President of Central Texas AMBA and National Advisory Board Member, Cheri Freeman, CMRS, of CRT Healthcare Management Systems, asked Texas Governor, Rick Perry, to proclaim March 27, 2008 as Medical Biller's Day to celebrate and recognize Medical Billers' contributions of excellence in healthcare billing.
Rebecca Marthaller, CMRS, of Lower Columbia Medical Billing, believes that Medical Billers deserve recognition for all their efforts. Governor Chris Gregoire has officially designated March 27, 2008 as Medical Biller's Day for Washington. Marthaller is also a National Advisory Board Member of AMBA. She wanted others to know that Medical Billers work hard to comply with state and Federal regulations and that it takes a lot of education and experience to provide professional medical billing services. Marthaller felt that Billers should be recognized for their dedication and loyalty to the Medical Billing profession.
AMBA Local Chapter Coordinator and Owner of MedOffice Solutions, Des Plaines, IL, Member, Lisa Paoli, CMRS, also submitted a request to Illinois Governor Blagojevich, who issued an official proclamation recognizing the contributions of Illinois Professional Billers.
And finally, Oklahoma Governor, Brad Henry, has officially proclaimed March 27, 2008 to be a special day of recognition for Oklahoma professional Medical Billers.
