Ten Top International Chefs, Thirty Restaurants Celebrate San Miguel de Allende's First Annual Food and Wine Festival

The exciting festival, featuring wine-tastings and food-samplings, will be held at Vista Antigua, a private community in San Miguel.
Ten top chefs from Mexico and the United States will deliver lively and informative lectures and teach cooking classes. In addition, a selection of more than thirty fine San Miguel restaurants and vineyards will offer tastings and special winemaker dinners.

The ten guest chefs include Rick Bayless, award-winning chef-restaurateur, cookbook author, and television personality; Diana Kennedy, the "First Lady of Mexican Cooking" and author of the classic Art of Mexican Cooking; star Chef Patricia Quintana of Izote in Mexico City; Roberto Santibanez, the world ambassador of Mexican Cooking; and many others.
A portion of the proceeds from the festival will be donated to Feed the Hungry, a local charity Feed the Hungry. "Feed the Hungry provides hot, nutritious meals every regular school day to more than 4,000 children in the San Miguel area," Coates/Dolan's Jim Dolan said.
