Valentine's Day is the Turn Off Your Blackberry Day

Gentlemen, what does a woman really want on Valentine's Day? If the results of a recent study are right, the answer is for you to turn off your Blackberry and pay attention to her. Forty percent of 30 executives surveyed reported that they have interrupted love making to answer their PDAs. When asked if they have every chosen a business venue over romance, a remarkable 45% admitted that they had. This survey demonstrates that many executives have boundary issues between work life and love life. Let's make this Valentine's Day a Turn Off Your Blackberry Day.

I have a busy practice and noticed more and more that my Blackberry was interrupting my personal life. Given my interest in men's health I was wondering how this dependency upon technology was impacting everyone's sexual activities

Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) February 12, 2008 -- Gentlemen, what does a woman really want on Valentine's Day? If the results of a recent survey sponsored by DeLithe Nutraceuticals Inc. are true, the answer is for you to turn off your Blackberry and pay attention to her.

Dr. DK Kim, an urologist authority on men's health noted, "I have a busy practice and noticed more and more that my Blackberry was interrupting my personal life. Given my interest in men's health I was wondering how this dependency upon technology was impacting everyone's sexual activities".

With this in mind, he assisted in a recent internet survey of executives who graduated from Ivy League business schools to assess the effect of technology dependency or the "plugged in" lifestyle on their love life.

Of the thirty executives surveyed, 90% were men and 65% were married. Forty percent of those surveyed reported that they have interrupted love making to answer their PDAs. When asked if they have ever chosen a business venue over romance, a remarkable 45% admitted that they had.

But if these Ivy Leaguers are choosing golf outings, high powered meetings or their Blackberries over sexual encounters, what do they think about how much sex they are getting? Sixty percent said they were not getting enough love making. Interestingly enough, an approximately equal percentage are will to interrupt or forgo romance when business calls. In addition, when they do get down to the business of sex, 45% wished sex lasted longer. Dr. Tracy Cannon-Smith, a urologist in Dallas, Texas, and a noted national relationship expert and who has appeared on the Today Show, said the most effective way to confront the issue is for both partners to open up and discuss their sexual concerns and schedule uninterrupted time for intimacy. A couple can boost their satisfaction by turning off their PDA's when it is time for making love.

It is a fact that physical problems or stress may result in avoidance of sexual activity. "Several prescription medications such as Viagra, Levitra, and Cialis are available to help a man who has difficulty getting or maintaining an erection. Prolasta, a new on demand supplement, is available for men who ejaculate too soon during love making and want to last longer" said Dr. Michael Chancellor, a noted international expert in genitourinary health.

There are those who just can not manage with their Blackberry turned off. This survey demonstrates that there are boundary issues between work life and love life. The discord is more pronounced among individuals who fail to establish boundaries. This may inevitably be destructive to the relationship over time. For the busy executive, the time is NOW to think about and schedule romance for Valentine's Day. PS. Dont forget to turn off your PDAs!
