"Maneki Neko is known throughout the world as a happy symbol of good luck and prosperity," notes Tami Lynn. "Bringing this classic kitty image to apparel and accessories seems like a natural way for the character to evolve, as well as to give fans a new way to have fun and enjoy the luck Maneki Neko can bring."
Until the launch of Tami Lynn's new collection, "Maneki Neko" has most often been seen as a ceramic statue at the entrance of restaurants and businesses, welcoming guests with a raised paw and a friendly face. The first images were said to have appeared in Japan in the 1600's, with countless legends and stories about the cat entertaining fans ever since. In Japan, "Maneki Neko" has been popular on key chains, as a piggy bank, and other trinkets. Tami Lynn's new collection will be the first of its kind.
Tami Lynn knows a hit when she sees it.
