Record Turnout of Exotic Supercars, Motorcycles, Watercraft and Aircraft Set for Fifth Annual Festivals of Speed in St. Petersburg

The City of St. Petersburg will play host to a gathering of the world's most exotic cars, motorcycles, aircraft and watercraft on March 28th and 29th. 150+ vehicles will be on display.

(PRWEB) February 13, 2008 -- The Festivals of Speed, now in it's Fifth year will take place over two days. Friday, March 28th and Saturday, March 29th. Friday will see a Luxury Lifestyle Jet Port Reception and Sunday will feature a display of 150+ exotic automobiles, motorcycles & watercraft displayed throughout the grounds of North Straub Park. Both the park and the host hotel, the Four Diamond Renaissance Vinoy Hotel & Golf Club overlook the Bay.

The Friday evening Jet Port Reception will take place in a massive aircraft hanger amidst a fabulous display of aircraft, exotic automobiles, motorcycles & race boats. Both vintage and contemporary aircraft are scheduled to attend. Examples include a rocket plane from the Rocket Racing League, a Gulf stream G5, a vintage Beech 18 with leather and alligator interior, a Piaggio P-180, WW II era P-51 Mustang, as well as models from Lear, Hawker and other manufacturers. Guests will enjoy a premium brands open bar, themed food stations, a silent auction to benefit the Children's Dream Fund of St. Petersburg, displays of luxury lifestyle products, smooth jazz and more.

The weekend continues Saturday with an incredible display of 150+ exotic cars, motorcycles and watercraft placed for display in the park overlooking the turquoise waters of Tampa Bay. Lead test driver for Lamborghini , Valentino Balboni will be attending both days. Vehicles scheduled for display include models from Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Maserati, Porsche, Maybach, Aston-Martin, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, Ducati, Bimota, Riva and many others. A must see will be the experimental high speed watercraft called the Sea Phantom.

The event allows attendees to stroll the property while enjoying exciting culinary delights and fine wines offered by onsite cafes. This year the event pays tribute to Lamborghini's 45th year anniversary, The 100th anniversary of the Ford Model T , the 120 Year anniversary of Bentley Motorcars and a salute to German Automotive Manufacturers.

Entertainment for the day includes free drawings to win luxury products including a fine timepiece; strolling saxophonist; fashion show, silent auction to benefit charity; lifestyle pavilion with displays of fine wines, cigars, jewelry, confections, writing instruments, crystal and other luxury items and more. The grand finale will be a lavish awards presentation to recognize award-winning vehicles.

Tickets for the Jet Port Reception are $65.00 per person or $120.00 for a couple. Tickets for the Saturday display are $10.00 per person. Children twelve and under are free for Saturday.
