Developer of Novel Treatment for Molluscum Announces Naturopathix, Inc. Commercial Spin Off
Dr. Briant Burke, MD, developer of the patented, over-the-counter topical treatment for molluscum contagiosum called ZymaDerm, announced today that the Center for Biomedical Research, Inc. has launched a commercial spin off for e-commerce named Naturopathix, Inc.
Boise, Idaho (PRWEB) February 15, 2008 -- Dr. Briant Burke, MD and founder of the Center for Biomedical Research and lead developer of its ZymaDerm product for molluscum, announced today that the company will spin off its commercial activities into a new entity, doing business as Naturopathix, Inc. The Center for Biomedical Research, Inc. will re-focus its resources on research into effective alternative health care treatments. Money for these research efforts is derived from grant applications, and in addition, 25 percent of all revenue generated from sales of ZymaDerm products through Naturopathix, Inc. will be directed to research through the Center. The CBR, Inc. website will be reorganized into an information only website.
Naturopathix's flagship product, ZymaDerm, is for molluscum contagiosum in children ages 9 months and older as well as adults. It was launched in 2003 after 2 years of physician sponsored clinical testing. Since then, sales have increased by over 30 percent per annum and continue to grow rapidly. ZymaDerm is non-prescription and contains no drugs.
"ZymaDerm has proven to be highly effective and very popular for treating molluscum contagiosum. We're proud of the contribution we have made toward alleviating this unsightly skin condition," said Dr. Burke.
Molluscum contagiosum is a common childhood skin condition caused by the MCV virus. Molluscum symptoms include painless warty bumps on the abdomen, chest, face, arms and legs. The soles and palms are not affected. The warty skin lesions are contagious and can spread unpredictably. The malady occurs in children worldwide and accounts for approximately 1 percent of all skin lesions seen by dermatologists in the US. Although molluscum occurs predominantly in pre-adolescent children, it also occurs in sexually active adults as an STD, participants in sports with skin-to-skin contact, and those with impaired cellular immunity. Before ZymaDerm, all treatment options involved some degree of pain, discomfort or irritation. This important milestone in treatment is a safe, natural, topical agent derived from plants, and rapidly helps alleviate and most often completely eliminate the warty skin lesions of molluscum. Fast and effective, ZymaDerm has been clinically tested for safety and efficacy and carries a 6 month money back guarantee. In a study performed in the offices of family practitioners and dermatologists in Boise, Idaho, the findings clearly demonstrated that treatment for 30 days dramatically reduced or eliminated lesions entirely. With an estimated one in 200 children under the age of 10 being affected the treatment is being hailed as nothing short of extraordinary.
The following unsolicited, non-compensated testimonials about ZymaDerm for molluscum treatment from delighted users share their experience. "When I first contacted you about my 3-year-old son's problem with molluscum, I was one frustrated Mom. Most information on the subject was negative and I received no uplifting advice from our family practitioner or dermatologist. Thinking we were doomed to helplessly watch our son suffer, we sent off for ZymaDerm. I am absolutely thrilled to report that in three weeks my son has his smooth kissable toddler skin back! Thank you." -- Shannon Starkville, MS.
From Kristy: "Dear Dr. Burke: Just wanted to give you a quick update on my son's Molluscum. The medicine is working wonders!!!. We have only been using it since Thursday, not even a week since we started and already some of the lesions are completely gone. Thank you so much!"
