ZoomInfo Expands Business Model for Continued Growth

ZoomInfo™, an online business information search engine, announced the creation of distinct business units focused on high-growth markets. Those four business units -- recruiting, sales intelligence, search and bizographic ad targeting -- will each have dedicated product, marketing and development teams in order to meet the specific needs of the company's growing customer base. ZoomInfo also announced that Tad Goltra, Chip Terry and Sam Tharp have joined the company's executive team and will each lead a business unit.

ZoomInfo's new business units include:

Recruiting: ZoomInfo's recruiting business unit will focus on growing ZoomInfo's established leadership in the recruiting market. The team will own the overall strategy, product development, management and marketing of ZoomInfo's flagship product, PowerSearch. Tad Goltra joins ZoomInfo as vice president and general manager of the recruiting business unit.

Prior to joining ZoomInfo, Goltra spent four years at Monster Worldwide, where he held several senior-level positions, most recently serving as vice president of product management. In that role, Goltra drove the product strategy and roadmap for Monster's $700 million careers business, overseeing the launch of multiple new products and product enhancements for employers and job seekers. Before Monster, Goltra was director of product management at Vicinity Corporation, where he managed the company's portfolio of web, wireless and speech products, prior to the company's acquisition by Microsoft. Goltra has a bachelor's degree from Columbia University and a master's degree in business from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Sales Intelligence: ZoomInfo's sales intelligence business unit is chartered with increasing ZoomInfo's value to sales and marketing customers. The team will own the overall strategy, product development, management and marketing of ZoomInfo's sales intelligence products, PowerSell and ZoomExec. Chip Terry joins ZoomInfo as vice president and general manager of the sales intelligence unit.

Previously, Terry spent over four years in executive positions at Forrester Research. Most recently, he was vice president of marketing. In that role, he was responsible for worldwide marketing, lead generation, and sales efficiency efforts for a global sales force of over 200 people. He was also vice president of strategy while at Forrester. Prior to that, Terry was vice president of web and education programs at Walden Media, a film production and publishing company, and vice president of product management at HomePortfolio.com, an Internet search company focused on home design collaboration. Terry has a bachelor's degree from Tufts University and a doctorate in American history from Boston University.

Search: The search business unit will own ZoomInfo.com, the company's free search tool that leverages ZoomInfo's semantic search technology to allow users to access in-depth information on industries and companies. Sam Tharp joins ZoomInfo as vice president and general manager of the search business unit.

Before joining ZoomInfo, Tharp was vice president and general manager of Ecommerce/ Employer Products at Monster Worldwide. There, he was responsible for online sales for Monster.com, with annualized revenue of $126 million. Tharp set the strategic roadmap for the platform including functional enhancements, new product development and provisioning of e-services. Prior to that, Tharp was the founder and owner of Austin Siena, LLC, a developer and marketer of commemorative products to consumer and education markets. Previously, he held senior product and marketing positions at America Online. As product manager of AOL Instant Messenger, he oversaw development of the world's largest web-based communications tool. Tharp has a bachelor's degree in economics and English from University of Cape Town, South Africa.

Bizographic Ad Targeting: ZoomInfo is now leveraging its understanding of business people and companies to provide the industry's first bizographic advertising platform based on people's "business demographics," or bizographics. This business unit will establish key relationships with advertisers and publishers, build ZoomInfo's ad sales team, and deliver an end-to-end suite of products for marketers to leverage bizographic advertising across a larger network of websites. Russell Glass, previously ZoomInfo's vice president of product and marketing, has been named senior vice president and general manager of advertising products and will lead the bizographic ad targeting team.
