AOTMP has found mid-size enterprises are an underserved segment of the market that can benefit from telecom expense management initiatives

Vocio's telecom expense management software offers mid-market enterprises the resources needed to reduce telecom expenses, which was identified in a recent AOTMP study as a major challenge among CFOs and CIOs.

The report titled "CFO and CIO Perspectives: A Top-Down View of IT and Telecom Management," which surveyed 275 CFOs and CIOs on managing technology and telecommunications, found that 56 percent of those surveyed identified "lack of resources" as the top challenge when managing IT and telecom expenses, with "lack of automation for ongoing management" and "insufficient technical expertise" also cited.

"AOTMP has found mid-size enterprises are an underserved segment of the market that can benefit from telecom expense management initiatives," stated Joe Basili, VP of Research for AOTMP.

Telecom expense management software, like Vocio's V-Vision, enables companies to resolve these issues with one easy-to-install platform. The software provides cost allocation information broken down by device for each department and each employee. It also automates invoice loading, systematically identifies and flags errors, and inventories all telecom assets. Reports produced from TEM software platforms can help CFOs, CIOs, IT management, telecom analysts and procurement managers make better decisions when it comes to negotiating better rates, changing plans and ultimately reducing cost.

"We know from our work with clients that the implementation of telecom expense management software can benefit the company's financial and IT departments," said Noel Huelsenbeck, president and founder of Vocio. "Gathering information that will allow CFOs to make better strategic decisions can free up capital for innovative technology projects that will further enhance the productivity of an organization and give the company a competitive edge."

Vocio's fully functional V-Vision offers companies a telecom expense management software platform that is easy to use and implement, and is focused on generating an immediate ROI. The software is customized around workflow and roles of the personnel within an enterprise. This customization gives clients the ability to display the metrics that are most important to them, allowing for better-informed decision making. Vocio also offers the flexibility to self-manage the software or outsource the telecom expense management.
