"One of the major reasons why I joined Embarcadero was their commitment to open specifications and open source," said Hussey. "I'm excited about the opportunity to help shape the future of professional grade data modeling tools based on Eclipse."
Hussey is the lead of the newly created Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN2) and Information Management Metamodel (IMM) components of the Model Development Tools (MDT) sub-project at Eclipse. He is also a member of the Project Management Committee for the top-level Modeling project and a committer on the Eclipse Modeling Framework (EMF) sub-project at Eclipse.
Hussey is actively involved with the Object Management Group (OMG), representing Embarcadero on the Business Process Modeling Notation, Unified Modeling Language, and Meta-Object Facility/XML Metadata Interchange revision task forces, as well as the Information Management Metamodel submission team.
Prior to joining Embarcadero, Hussey was a senior software developer for IBM Rational Software and a senior designer / team leader for Nortel Networks. He holds a master's degree and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Acadia University.
