Anyone visiting Confused.com over the next few weeks for a car and/or home insurance quote will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win £1 million tax-free.
Visitors to the Confused.com website do not even have to buy an insurance policy, in order to be entered into the draw -- they simply have to request a quotation. Those who request both car and home insurance quotations will double their chances of winning. It's that simple.
Debra Williams, managing director, Confused.com comments:
"Confused.com has saved millions of people time and money when it comes to searching for insurance. The belief that price comparison services are beneficial to consumers forms the basis of this radical £1,000,000 giveaway. We aim to appeal to the unconverted - those who rarely change providers, or rarely use the internet - and show them how much time and money they could save as a result of quoting online."
"The insurance industry is rapidly evolving which, for consumers, means that increased competition is continuously driving down prices. However, many consumers fail to capitalise on such savings, due to either loyalty to their existing insurer, or even general apathy; 30% of consumers typically renew their car insurance without even shopping around".

Confused.com is one of the UK's biggest and most popular price comparison services. Launched in 2002, it dominates the car insurance price comparison market and generates around one million quotes per month. It has expanded its range of comparison products over the last couple of years to include home insurance, travel insurance, pet insurance, van insurance, motorbike insurance, breakdown cover and energy, as well as financial services products including credit cards, loans, mortgages and life insurance.
Confused.com is not a supplier, insurance company or broker. It provides its customers with a free, wholly objective comparison service to help with their decision making. Using cutting-edge technology, Confused.com has developed a series of intelligent web-based solutions that evaluate a number of risk factors to help customers search, buy and apply for whichever product or policy best matches their individual needs. Prices quoted on Confused.com are the same, or cheaper, than going to the insurer direct. Confused.com's service is based on the most up to date information provided by UK suppliers and industry regulators.
Confused.com is regulated by the FSA.
Further competition information
The maximum amount of times that any one person is allowed to enter the competition is twice, based on one car insurance quote and one home insurance quote. All quotes must be truthful and accurate to the customers' best knowledge. The winner will be chosen at random 14 days after the closing date. If the winner does not respond within 21 days, another winner will be selected.
