Artist Paints "Warrior Angel Art" to Bridge the Separation between the Goddesses and Herself

Women crucified in art, also comes to mind when this artist shares her life situation along with a popularity contest between her "Super Girl" painting and her painting of "Venus - Goddess of Love."

Long Beach, CA (PRWEB) February 25, 2008 -- We question if Barbara Wurden is painting "women crucified in art" instead of "warrior angel art" with her passionately narrated canvases. She calls them "video diaries" and it's where she shares her current life situation as she summons the goddesses for assistance through this art form.

In days, her "Super Girl" art video surged to the same number of viewings that the video painting of "Venus - Goddess of Love" took weeks to reach. Is this artist showing us through her paintings that we are more interested in fearlessness and overcoming hardship than we are in creating love? The video diaries are posted on YouTube, http://www.youtube.com/user/fauxwurden.

Was it love or fearlessness that drove Wurden to design these expressions representing warrior women and love goddesses? She's clearly talented at creating art but should she let go of solid business opportunities to take a chance on luck?

Wurden recalls an expert saying that she must have an unbending belief, faith and love for what she's doing. And with that, Wurden knew she didn't have an all-encompassing love for the business she was running. And she wondered if the reason she didn't make her business fly was due in part to a lack of love for the endeavor.

Thus, Wurden was compelled to switch directions and focus on her passion as a fine artist. And because she became so good at being a one-woman production company in her faux painting business, Wurden thought it only seemed fitting to tie that into her fine art. Her skills as a video producer and an instructional host taught her how to make interesting productions.

Wurden took all of her heart and skills and poured them into her painted video diaries. The diaries are progression paintings as opposed to the more common speed paintings found on YouTube. With her videos she gives the audience another window into the artistic process of creating a painting. Wurden states, "This is an art form is where I share my inner thoughts and I expose my private world to anyone interested in watching."

Each diary begins with Wurden dressed up in some goddess form. For example, when she painted "Oya - Goddess of the Wind," She wrapped herself up in fabric, set the camera up for a still photo and twirled around while she exclaimed that she was the wind. From there, Wurden painted and delivered a verbal portrayal on what was happening in her life and how it related to the goddess in the painting.

With the first three Canvases, Wurden imagined herself as being separate from the goddesses and she desired to capture their energy to rejuvenate her system. With the painting of Super Girl, Wurden chose to believe that she, like all people, already embody the qualities of a super hero. She created the art to awaken the "Super Girl" in her and to inspire her audience to do the same. http://www.youtube.com/user/fauxwurden
