Adventure Show Provides a Chance to Explore Something New

Seasoned explorers and outdoor neophytes alike can find their sense of adventure at the Toronto Outdoor Adventure Show.

Toronto, ON (PRWEB) February 21, 2008 --Whether you are an accomplished adventure traveler or a curious newbie, the Toronto Outdoor Adventure Show provides the opportunity to ignite your sense of adventure and explore new outdoor experiences.

Located at the Toronto International Centre, February 22 - 24, the Outdoor Adventure Show (http://www.outdooradventureshow.ca) is your chance to shake off those winter blahs and start planning this year's getaways. The show boasts a vast array of experiences - from expeditions in far-flung landscapes to guided day trips within city limits. There are over 300 exhibitors, making this Canada's largest outdoor adventure and travel show.

Presented by Ontario Parks and Ontario Tourism, together they form the heart of the show with the Great Ontario Outdoor Adventure Pavilion. The pavilion is a hub of activity, complete with entertainment featuring: the Fiddl'n Jay Trio, the Curve Lake Drummers, Taylor "The Backpacking Golden Retriever", live demonstrations and 60 feet of stunning photography by renowned adventurers, photojournalists and conservationists, Gary and Joanie McGuffin. It is also the place to get your free stuff! Visitors will be greeted with a complimentary Ontario adventure calendar, an Ontario Parks guide and a chance to enter the Great Ontario Outdoor Adventure of a Lifetime Contest - an amazing seven-day adventure discovering Thunder Bay and the legendary Sleeping Giant Park - valued at $12,500.

If your feet need a break from walking, the Ontario Parks Theatre has a line up of presentations designed to intrigue and inspire. Themes include digital photography, wolves of Algonquin Park, how understanding Black Bears will make you a better camper and strategies on paddling the Toronto Harbour. There will also be first hand accounts from the adventurers themselves on exploring Polar Bear country, wilderness adventures in the world's largest wildlife sanctuary and expeditions to save the Boreal forest.

From unique family memories to soul satisfying Zen moments, the Toronto Outdoor Adventure Show will help you discover all that Ontario's great outdoors has to offer. For more information on Ontario's outdoor getaways visit: http://www.OntarioTravel.net/outdoor.
