Playa Xpu-Ha, Mexico (PRWEB) February 22, 2008 -- If hotel experiences are divine, estate celebrations are heavenly for privileged guests at the seaside home of a dear friend (a member of European royalty) whose thoughtful gestures surpass the expectations of a five-star hotel.
That is the operating philosophy of Esencia, a 29-room seaside estate on Mexico's Riviera Maya, originally built in 1998 as the private home of an Italian duchess and, since 2005, available to vacationers with the addition of spacious guest cottages, Sal y Fuego restaurant and the organic Aroma Spa. Nestled between the pristine Caribbean Sea and a virgin jungle, Esencia is a virtual Eden of natural delights that manages to be intimate for couples and expansive for families.
During May and June 2008, the duchess is celebrating the 10th anniversary of Esencia's founding with an "Estate Celebration" package that highlights its estate ambience, where guests never sign a check, enjoy aromatherapy turndowns, and purify their bodies and souls with organic cuisine as well as spa treatments - called "rituals" at Esencia. Esencia also offers the antithesis of the "mini bar" with its full-sized bottles of spirits and in-room professional sub-zero freezer.
"The duchess wants guests to celebrate Esencia's anniversary with a rejuvenating visit, and to appreciate why Esencia is essential to her well-being," said General Manager Philip Vidal.
The "Estate Celebration" includes four nights' accommodation, Sunday through Wednesday throughout May and June 2008 in a garden room or garden suite; full daily breakfast for two; private snorkel tour for two at an offshore reef, and two spa rituals of choice per stay.
"Estate Celebration" is $1,815 for accommodations in a garden room, and $2,155 for accommodations in a garden suite, plus 12% tax and 10% service fee.
The package includes the option of accommodations in the rarely available Rosa's Suite ($4,015), the ocean view master suite located in the original mansion fit for royalty.
Esencia's Garden Suites feature a terrace, plunge pool, sitting area, spacious bathroom and large walk-in closet. Garden Rooms feature a balcony overlooking the lush gardens. In-room amenities include DVD player, CD player and music library, satellite cable plasma T.V., automatic black out shades, and iPod docking stations. iPod minis are available for use upon request.
Esencia was transformed into an elegant estate for guests in 2005 by ProHotel International of Houston, which also operates the celebrated La Pleta Hotel and Spa in the Spanish Pyrenees and the Casanova Hotel in Barcelona, Spain. The 29-room, 50-acre Esencia, located on Playa Xpu-Ha on a two mile stretch of fine white-sand beach 46 miles south of Cancun, is the essence of simplicity, elegance and beauty. Its 29 spacious suites and guestrooms include a range of features from private gardens to solariums and deep-soaking plunge pools.
Esencia's Aroma Spa, fully organic from its architecture to its products, harvests its own lush herb garden for indigenous fruits, plants and herbs to use in treatments such as a lemon ritual for energy, honey ritual for relaxation and chocolate ritual for stress-reduction. The 2,500 square foot palapa-roofed spa offers five treatment rooms, four Jacuzzis and two Mayan-style domed steam rooms.
