Cambridge-based AsisChem continues to grow its catalog and expand its distribution partnerships.

AsisChem announced that it more than doubled the size of its building blocks catalog with the recent addition of 6,000 new compounds. The catalog now consists of over 15,000 highly desirable and difficult to find organic molecules. "We have been supplying our compounds to many of the Fortune 100 pharmaceutical companies as well as smaller biotech companies and universities," said Dr. Ilya Kuchuk, AsisChem's Chief Scientific Officer. "We are pleased to be able to expand our offerings so that we can continue to deliver high value compounds to researches when they need them most." The latest catalog can be downloaded from AsisChem's website.

AsisChem also announced that its catalog is now available through ChemNavigator, its new partner, in addition to AsisChem's website and through its existing partners that include STN Scifinder and MDL Information Systems, Inc. "This is another significant step in providing our services to a larger range of customers," said Dr. Mikhail Kuznetsov, AsisChem's Director of Chemistry. "Researchers now have an easy and convenient way to immediately access many thousands of rare and relevant compounds."

In addition to catalog compounds, AsisChem offers custom chemistry services including custom synthesis, medicinal chemistry and more. Several customers who purchased catalog compounds have opted to collaborate with AsisChem to synthesize targeted compound libraries needed for their research. "We added 8 new customers to our Custom Synthesis programs in the first 6 weeks of 2008," explained Dr. Kuchuk. "Most of them first ordered our catalog compounds, and then proceeded to ask for our help on custom projects as part of our Academic Collaboration programs."
