E-Commerce Network Expands Into Sports Category

dash Media Networks launches sports and fitness related e-commerce websites.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) February 25, 2008 -- dash Media Networks announced today the launch of four websites in the sports and fitness category. The Cubs Shop (www.thecubsshop.com), The Lakers Shop (www.thelakersshop.com), and The UCLA Store (www.theuclastore.com) focus on nationally known sports teams, while the Sports Fitness Store (www.sportsfitnessstore.com) targets the fitness enthusiast demographic. All of the sites will offer a wide range of products based on the theme of the site. The Sports Fitness Store in particular will carry fitness equipment, videos, books, apparel and other health related products.

According to a dash Media Networks spokesman, "This group of sites represents a strategic move into a very popular category. With spring training starting soon for Major League Baseball, March Madness coming up next month, and the NBA playoffs coming in late April and May, we felt this was the perfect time to get into the sports arena. Additionally, the Sports Fitness Store allows people to buy products that will help them get involved in their favorite fitness activity in the coming spring and summer months."

For dash Media Networks, the move is part of an effort to further expand its portfolio of sites into new categories that offer greater reach into additional e-commerce and advertising demographics. dash Media Networks will continue to add new e-commerce and social network related websites in this category in order to create additional ad inventory in this highly desirable demographic.

About dash Media Networks:
dash Media Networks is a collection of broad and niche oriented e-commerce and social networking outlets focused on products and communities in the range of technology, consumer electronics and other high growth potential sectors.
