lastminute.com.au has launched its new hotels search feature, giving customers a faster, easier and overall better experience booking hotels.

Chris Meehan, CEO of lastminute.com.au, says, "We believe the improvements to the site catapult lastminute.com.au's new hotel search functionality to the best in Australia.

The new search engine enables customers to search for hotels by name i.e. 'Gold Coast International Hotel'. The accommodation results can then be filtered by room rate, room type, star rating and hotel facilities.

We've made it easier for customers to access up to 91,000 hotels from 72 cities around the world, anything from accommodation in Egypt to Melbourne hotels. They're able to view property images and address details on the search results page, taking one extra step out of the process.

Meehan continues, "Being the first website to introduce the Secret Hotels concept and the first to allow hotel bookings 365 days in advance on 10 percent commission, it's imperative that our site functionality is also innovative and effective.

Since the introduction of the new search functionality just two weeks ago, hotel bookings have increased more than 6 percent.
