Dr. Eugene Priddy has released a new book titled "Keep from Stumbling! Bible Basics for Spiritual Stability" that teaches new and mature Christians worldwide.
When Dr. Eugene Priddy and his wife served as missionaries in Europe, he first realized the lack of easily-understood Bible teaching materials that were also clearly supported by Scripture. He began to formulate the idea of providing systematic, basic Bible teaching for new and untaught believers. The Bible studies found in "Keep from Stumbling! Bible Basics for Spiritual Stability" (paperback, 978-1-60477-443-6) were written specifically for translation to help meet the needs of non-English-speaking new believers. The basic truths of Scripture are presented in an easily understood format using everyday language. As one pastor described it, "This book is the profound made simple."
Priddy asserts, "The goal is for readers to gain the peace, joy, and spiritual stability that come from understanding and applying the great truths of the Word of God. Evangelism is only part of the Great Commission; equally important is grounding believers in the Scriptures. Jesus said to teach them 'to observe all that I commanded you' (Matthew 28:18-20). Keep from Stumbling! honors this command and is already accomplishing in other languages the goals it was written to achieve."
Dr. Eugene Priddy holds a B.R.E. degree from Piedmont Bible College and an M.A. in Christian Education from Wheaton Graduate School of Theology. He was ordained in 1959, and he and his wife have served as lifetime missionaries. They founded Bible Basics International, Inc. (BBI) in October 1973, and in July 1990 BBI installed Radio HRGS in Roatan, Honduras. Priddy has authored a number of Bible studies, books, and tracts.
