Christian Writers Find Inspiration at FaithWriters' Second Annual Writers' Conference

Capitalizing on the success of the first FaithWriters.com (www.faithwriters.com) conference in 2007 a second event has been announced for 2008. The "Nurturing the WHOLE Writer" conference will be held in Nashville, TN in August. Attendees will receive much needed encouragement and advice from many expert writers.

Livonia, MI (PRWEB) February 27, 2008 -- Writers conferences are known for their ability to provide facts, figures, new skills and allowing attendees to develop contacts, but with the announcement of the FaithWriters.com (www.faithwriters.com) conference prospective attendees are promised something different. The theme of the conference is "Nurturing the WHOLE Writer". Conference coordinator Amy Michelle Wiley indicates, "The FaithWriters' conference in Nashville, Tennessee is the place for you. Join writers from all over the world on August 8th and 9th, 2008, as we gather for something more than just another conference."

The conference will have practical workshops for writers of all genres and skill levels. Workshops include tips on grammar, song writing, syndication, and advice on unleashing creativity. Special guest speaker Michelle Medlock Adams will speak on how God works through our words. Adams will also address the subjects of writing for children, and getting published.

The FaithWriters.com (www.faithwrtiers.com) conference will also feature Australian writer and inspirational speaker Deb Porter along with playwright David Ian and syndicated writer Rev. James Snyder. Additional speakers are being scheduled.

The "Nurturing the WHOLE Writer" Conference will also feature two agents, Mary Sue Seymour and Les Stobbe, who work closely with several mainstream publishers. The duo will be answering questions as part of a Q&A session. Seymour and Stobbe will also offer one-on-one sessions as part of the conference registration fee. This benefit will allow writers to pitch their projects or solicit advice. Thomas Nelson Publishers have also expressed interest in this conference.

Because many writers attending already have published works, Wiley indicates, "Conference attendees will have the opportunity to sell their books and participate in a talent show." Perhaps the biggest draw for this conference is being with like-minded faith-focused writers. Wiley stresses, "Many of the attendees have close relationships through the message boards, and even those who are not yet FaithWriter members will find the atmosphere to be close-knit and encouraging. Last year one attendee said she had never in her life felt so accepted and encouraged."

Early registrations receive reduced conference fees. Wiley notes, "If you register for the conference before February 29th, you will receive the Early Bird price of $165 for the entire event." Lunch and snacks are included in this fee.

Conference registration fees will increase slightly beginning March 1st, but Wiley notes the fee, "remains low compared to other conferences".
