WiFi Film Conference Announces The Official 2008 Line-Up

We Have No Life Productions, presenters of the WiFi Film Conference, announces the official line-up of featured guest speakers from Los Angeles, New York, Tennessee and North Carolina.

Wilmington, NC (Billboard Publicity Wire/PRWEB ) February 26, 2008 -- The WiFi Film Conference announced their official line-up of featured guest speakers for June 27th & 28th, 2008.

The speakers are as follows: Michael Winship (President of the WGAeast), Timothy Hodge (Storyboard Artist/Executive Producer/Director Big Idea Studios/Bald Melon Productions, formerly Disney) Ken Rotcop (WGA award-winning writer and former studio head), Suzanne DeLaurentiis (Independent Producer), Kevin O'Neill (Head of Visual Effects Division, Neo Art & Logic), Melodie Shaw (Assistant South Region Director of SAG), Kurt Patino (co-owner of Link Talent Group), Lt. Colonel Paul Sinor (Technical Advisor on Transformers, I Am Legend), Nick Osbourne (Executive/Producer/Partner at Underground Films). Others include the local experts like the Emmy winning, Barry Green (Wrightsville Beach Studios) and sound expert, Scott Houle (Coastal Studios).

Filmmakers will have the chance to pose the questions that have been on the minds of many, i.e. topics such as financing, distribution, management, storyboarding, production sound, development, screenwriting, attaching actors and much more.

"I think the East Coast filmmakers have been waiting for an event like this for a long time," said Sheila Brothers, co-founder of WiFi. "There are a ton of talented filmmakers here. They know how to make an excellent film, but many hit a glass ceiling when it comes to post-production and distribution resulting in posting it on YouTube or never thinking past the film festival circuit. We want to give filmmakers the information they need to reach the next level. Knowing the business side of filmmaking is crucial in order to have complete success as a production company."

"I believe so much in the crew base that we have here in Wilmington," Wynter Davis, co-founder of WiFi added. "You will never find a more hardworking, focused, dedicated and reliable group of people with a hunger for producing great material; and this was my motivation for WiFi."

The event is sponsored by MovieMaker Magazine, the best-selling indie magazine in the world.

Tickets are on sale now.
