Sky I.T. Group announced today, it has joined other industry leaders as a co-founder of the Requirements Forum and the related Requirements.net. The Requirements Forum is a collaborative effort, chartered with enabling software requirements to successfully meet the business needs.

Sky I.T. Group, specializing in providing companies with complete Requirements Lifecycle Acceleration (RLA) software and services, announced it has joined other industry leaders as a co-founder of the Requirements Forum and the related Requirements.net. Launched February 26th, 2008 by Blueprint, HP Software, Cortechs, Orasi, Sky I.T. Group, and the Requirements Networking Group (RQNG), the Requirements Forum is a collaborative effort, chartered with enabling software requirements to successfully meet the business needs.

"At Sky I.T. Group, we believe that it's time for the topic of requirements to take its rightful place at the top of the must-solve list for IT. Every other aspect of the software development lifecycle has been tackled and tamed but software requirements continue to wreak havoc on IT project success," said Keith Barrett, Business Development Manager of Sky IT Group

In the same way that missing puzzle pieces hinder a picture's ability to communicate its message, missing a piece of the requirements lifecycle makes the picture unclear for both IT and the business. By focusing on the integration of the tasks, techniques and tools throughout the requirements lifecycle, Sky I.T. Group is dedicated to accelerating both the quality and productivity of every piece of the requirements puzzle to ensure a clear and accurate message.

"The demands on software development are evolving at a faster pace than ever before, and organizations are struggling to make their software requirements truly fit the business needs," said David Nyland, CEO of Blueprint Software Systems, leading co-founder of the Requirements Forum. "The Requirements Forum brings together software professionals and the business owners who depend on their end products. The support of companies like Sky I.T. Group will help us develop a solid framework and set of recommendations for companies to implement best practices for software requirements."
