When The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB.org) recently announced the finalists for their prestigious annual Multifamily Pillars of the Industry awards, Moore Design Group (MDG) received an impressive four nominations, more than any other design firm.
NAHB's Pillars of the Industry Awards not only honor the best in multifamily design and execution - from low-rise to mixed-use in condominiums and apartments - but they also recognize the best marketing campaigns and the industry's leading property managers and developers. According to NAHB, this year's near-record number of entries underwent rigorous judging that yielded 118 entries in 29 categories named as finalists.
Building upon their win last year's in the category of Best Interior Merchandising at a Multifamily Community for their innovative historical renovation project, The Depot in Fort Worth, Texas, MDG has garnered the following nominations in this year's competition:
- Best Leasing or Sales Center for both Velocity in the Gulch (1) and Icon in the Gulch (2) in Nashville, Tennessee - two of four finalist entries. (Developer: Bristol Development Group)
- Best Interior Merchandising at a Multifamily Community for Icon in the Gulch (3) in Nashville, Tennessee - one of five finalist entries. (Developer: Bristol Development Group)
- Best Conversion/Repositioning of a Multifamily Asset for The Marquis at West Village (4) in Dallas, Texas - one of four finalist entries. (Developer: CWS Apartment Homes)
The winners will be announced during the NAHB Multifamily Awards Gala taking place during The Pillars of the Industry Conference at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colorado April 1-3, 2008.
MDG has received multiple Pillars finalist nominations over the past four years, and in 2005 they earned a collaborative win with Hensley Lamkin Rachel, Inc. for Austin Ranch in The Colony, Texas (a suburb in the Dallas/Fort Worth area) in the Best Garden Rental Apartment Community (4 stories & under) Primary Market.
In an upcoming article in Urban Land magazine due out this spring, MDG's Founding Principal, Stephanie Moore Hager, will share her extensive knowledge of the industry by elaborating on strategies to establish a multifamily development marketing edge through effectively and attractively designed sales and leasing centers.
