Oilfield Forum Launches Internet Community for Oilfield Professionals

Oilfield Forum has opened a new message board community on the Internet to help oilfield people connect on a personal and professional level. Members can use the web site to find jobs, share safety alerts, and teach others about the benefits of oilfield work.

Aberdeen, UK (PRWEB) February 29, 2008 -- Oilfield Forum has opened a new message board community on the Internet to help oilfield people connect on a personal and professional level. Members can use the web site to find jobs, share safety alerts, and teach others about the benefits of oilfield work.

"Oilfield people are some of the most traveled people in the world," reads the text at oilfieldforum.com. It is this widespread scattering of oilfield workers that brought the new online community into being. Some oilfield professionals seldom have the chance to talk to other industry workers outside of work. Oilfield Forum was designed to give these workers a convenient common gathering place.

Forum members can choose to read messages from other workers, search job listings, or play online games. Photo and video galleries allow members to upload work site images from their computers or mobile phones. Workers can also stay informed with headlines from news and industry publications and announcements from the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).

Oilfield Forum's message boards cover a broad span of industry-related topics. Members are encouraged to share their thoughts on drilling safety and equipment, environmental impact, production and operations. On a more personal note, families of workers can also use the forums to share support and advice. Students, too, can find answers to their questions about the industry.

Oilfield Forum also contains an e-store where oilfield merchandise can be purchased.
