It is an honor to be able to move into our brand new studio and expand our presence everywhere. We are looking forward to our first season's six week episode finale showdown, which we plan to air on national television this summer.
Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) February 29, 2008
Complimenting the stellar growth of the brand name and increasing site visitor count, Total Pop Star unveiled a new fangled production studio with a superior set. The celebrity judges, Joey Lawrence, Deborah Gibson and Andrew Van Slee, all returned to their customary seats and critiqued dozens of Total Pop Star contestant video submissions for the Internet reality program.
"Two and a half years ago we were simply developing artists. Being that my passion is music we decided to make a cross between American Idol and YouTube. With so much incredible raw talent competing on our site, the abundant steady growth of the Total Pop Star brand has been a dream realized," stated Andrew Van Slee, creator, executive producer and Total Pop Star celebrity judge. "It is an honor to be able to move into our brand new studio and expand our presence everywhere. We are looking forward to our first season's six week episode finale showdown, which we plan to air on national television this summer."
Lucky Total Pop Star contestant Shantá was selected from the finalist pool to showcase her talents in-studio for the judges. The judges' critique on Shantá's LIVE rendition of 'Where Do Broken Hearts Go' was unanimous. Lawrence, Gibson and Van Slee all praised Shantá's performance as nothing less than 'astonishing.'
Building to a crescendo, the new Total Pop Star Celebrity Lounge received a very special visit from Erin Hamilton, Carol Burnett's rock star daughter. Hamilton's current hit, 'The Flame,' is burning up the Billboard charts, with a current position of #16. Backed up by the Perry Twins, Hamilton performed her forthcoming single 'Control Yourself,' produced by Scott Anderson of Solar City, which proves to be the next sure-fire hit for the sexy songstress.
The excitement all got underway in front of the watchful eyes of the Hollywood press. Turning out in support the Total Pop Star online phenomenon, while hobnobbing over lunch with the cast was Jason Oropallo from RealityWanted.com, Denise Ames from Focus: In the Mix, and a very special visit from Jean Arthur, ambassador from the Reality Cares Foundation. Total Pop Star also welcomed crews and journalists from the TV Guide Network, CC Variety TV, Manmade Multimedia, Life & Style, US Weekly, Hollywood Hills Magazine, Getty Images, Berliner Studio, Cybersocket Magazine and Showbiz to Go. Lastly, one of Total Pop Star's favorite celebrity bloggers, Geno from Geno's World stopped by with his showbiz flair and mingled with the stars.
The new taped episodes and performances will begin to air online in March. Please visit totalpopstar.com today and upload your video entry, judge current contestants and watch the show. New episodes debut each Sunday evening. Total Pop Star contestants and fans are encouraged to check back often, as new enhancements and extras are being built into the site frequently.
