McCarthy & Stone Launches "Easy Move" Service for 2008

Leading retirement property housebuilder McCarthy & Stone launches new service to reduce the anxiety, stress and cost of moving home for the over-60s. The service looks after packing, unpacking and removals, estate agency fees, solicitors costs, and HIPs costs.

Bournemouth, Hampshire (PRWEB) March 1, 2008 -- It is widely recognised that moving house is a stressful and worrying time especially with a hardening property market. Leading retirement housebuilder McCarthy & Stone recognise that anxiety and so have introduced a new Easy Move package designed to take the stress out of moving house.

Anyone using the Easy Move scheme to purchase one of the company's apartments, which are designed specifically for the over-60s, will benefit from a range of money- and worry-saving initiatives.

A free deluxe removals service that includes careful packing and unpacking is part of the new service designed to take the hassle out of moving home for buyers of McCarthy & Stone retirement apartments.

Apart from the free removals service, Easy Move also entitles McCarthy & Stone customers to have their own estate agent fees paid, their own solicitor's fees paid and their Home Information Pack (where applicable) paid too. All told, the Easy Move package could amount to savings of well over £5,000 - not to mention the benefits of reducing the stresses and strains associated with moving house.

About McCarthy & Stone

McCarthy & Stone developments are located across the UK. Typically, they comprise around 45 completely self-contained apartments, alongside a number of communal facilities including a residents' lounge, laundry room, guest suite to allow friends and family to stay overnight if extra help is needed and landscaped gardens.

The apartments are designed specifically for the over-60s, with careful attention to details such as raised electricity points to minimise bending and easy to use lever taps. Security has also been made a priority, with every apartment linked to a 24-hour emergency Careline system and residents able to access CCTV pictures of the main front door via their television set.

Although the apartments all have their own front doors, allowing for total privacy at all times, residents often find they enjoy meeting up for social events held regularly in the communal areas. These are often organised by the development's house manager, who, as well as being responsible for the maintenance of the building, also acts as a friend and good neighbour to all the residents.

McCarthy & Stone have won a number of awards for the quality of their buildings, and recently topped two separate independent national customer satisfaction surveys
