The National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firms (NAMWOLF) commends Governor Blagojevich for his continued commitment to increase opportunities for minority and women-owned law firms.

Champaign, Illinois (PRWEB) March 4, 2008 -- The National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firms (NAMWOLF) commends Governor Blagojevich for his continued commitment to increase opportunities for minority and women-owned law firms. NAMWOLF is very pleased to announce the State of Illinois granted 34.5% of their 2006 legal services budget to minority and women-owned law firms.

"Governor Blagojevich is to be applauded," said Yolanda Coly, Managing Director of The National Association of Minority & Women Owned Law Firms. "The State of Illinois has promoted the economic development of minority-owned and women-owned law firms for a number of years now, demonstrating yet again that public entities can diversity outside counsel without sacrificing high-standards.

The National Association of Minority & Women Owned Law Firms (www.namwolf.org) was founded in June, 2001. It is a national trade association comprising a select group of minority and women-owned law firms who exhibit excellence in the legal profession. The primary aim of the organization is to advocate for the utilization of minority and women-owned law firms by major corporations and public entities throughout the United States.
