St. Petersburg, FL (PRWEB) March 3, 2008 -- WTCB, Inc. is pleased to announce our first event for 2008- "Women Taking Care of Music"- a singing contest & variety show to benefit CASA of St. Petersburg, FL. The event began with auditions in February, 2008 to locate talented female vocalists to perform with an exceptional cast of female musicians and performers in a Variety Show at the Palladium Theatre on April 19, 2008.

50% of the proceeds from ticket sales to this event will go to CASA. CASA is in the business of saving lives. Since 1977 CASA has been working in the community to increase safety for women and children who are the majority of domestic violence victims. CASA's mission is to advocate for social change by providing community education, outreach support, crisis intervention, and safe environments for survivors of domestic violence and their children.

In recognition of CASA our artists will be performing some original compositions that reflect the importance of CASA's mission. The show is a highly charged and moving production that promises to take you through a full range experience of emotions. The amazing talent of the women in this production makes this a night that you don't want to miss. There will be guest appearances by several noted musicians.

WTCB's mission is to inspire and empower women around the world. It is our goal to gather women together to share stories and experiences that will develop the bond that is needed in this time in history for women. According to Jean Harper, CEO, "the Moxy Women series highlighted on the WTCB website is the most popular section of the website; a comprehensive on-line resource for women. The March, 2008- Moxy Woman selected by WTCB is Mayor Pam Iorio. Her story will be posted on the website in coming weeks- just in time for Women's History Month". The show will recognize the 8 Moxy Women highlighted on the website beginning in September, 2007.

Many thanks to our Platinum Sponsors, PRO STAR Recording Studio & Dr. Robert Rehnke, Plastic Surgery and Silver Sponsors- Kristin Guenhardt- Raymond James Financial, Aacardi Salon, and Woody's Waterfront.

The Press is invited to attend our audition finals and our final show on April 19 at the Palladium.
