Retail Solutions' New Retailer Data Alerting for its Demand Signal Management Offering to Complement the Most Widely Used POS Data Sharing Solution in the Consumer Goods Industry

Retail Solutions Inc., the leading solution provider helping consumer product goods (CPG) companies create value with retailer data, formed when T3Ci acquired the VeriSign® RDS business unit, today announced that its new retailer data alerting service is available to its customers.

Based on more than a decade of experience in handling retailer data, Retail Solutions has found that significant clean-up efforts are required before the data can be used. On average:

  • 13% of POS files arrive later than expected
  • 15% are outside size tolerance
  • 62% contain some form of error

The new Data Alerting service is designed to ensure that consumer goods companies are always informed of when accurate, quality data is available from their retailer partners, without having to commit resources to resolving issues. With this new service, Retail Solutions customers are automatically notified when a retailer encounters data transmission problems or when the data validation processes uncover errors in the inbound data. This service is part of the Demand Signal Management (DSM) solution, the preferred solution for more than 100 CPG companies to access daily data from 17 retailers, including 7 of the top 10 US retailers.
